I know I have not been in touch these past years. I am sorry for your loss. Marilyn and I spent many happy hours decorating for Christmas at Woodfords Church. I learned so much from Marilyn.
My thoughts and prayers of peace go out to your family.
Love

Dear Sandy, Mary, Sarah and Katie,
My condolences to you on the recent death of your mother. I remember her clearly (and your father, too) from our youth growing up at Beckwith Circle and on the LC campus. Her gardens, but especially her roses, were beautiful; she and my mother would compare notes and share tips on how to get the best results from their horticultural efforts. Your mother was strong and definite about her thoughts, yet she had the concern and compassion of a capable nurse. It seems that she remained active after her retirement; I hope that her exit was peaceful. Thinking of you four with fondness and sympathy,
Hilary Meyers

To  Marilyn's Family, sending  peace & prayers & caring thoughts, may all of you remain friends and support each other in your grief, Marlyn, was a fine lady and a caring nurse, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with her as a part time nurse at Loomis for 4 years, she often talked about Sarah, and Kate , I was a young  nurse at the time working fulltime at Mount Sinai Hospital, and  part time at Loomis, Marilyn was marvelous, I also was fortunate to meet and own your Dad, Walter, Marilyn and I not only had nursing in common we both also loved daffodilis, God Bless all of you and continue to remember how nice your mom, Marilyn was . My sincere sympathy to the family.   HENRIETTA

Saddened to hear of Marilyn's passing. Will always remember my dad, her cousin Dick Young, speaking so fondly of all his childhood memories of playing with Marilyn and Dot. And now they are all together again. That makes me smile. Love and condolences to all my cousins. Kim Young Wilson

I will always remember Marilyn's wonderful lemon cookies at the Longfellow Garden Club tree planting at the Longfellow Arboretum in Payson Park!  Thanks to the sharing of her recipe, we still enjoy them each year at the tree plantings.  And as a fellow nurse (and former part-time school nurse), I enjoyed talking with her about her wonderful experiences.  She'll be missed - Karen Rea, Longfellow Garden Club
