Beverly A. Doughty

I remember Beverly so well in early years at Deering High School and later ones at Williston-West Church. She didn't change much - alway pleasant, with a smile and a good word for everyone. She is missed but will always be remembered.

Soon after Bruce and Naleen were married, I remember that they invited me to a Doughty family holiday gathering on Caleb Street. I remember Beverly's warm hospitality to me on what was for her a very busy occasion. Still, she took time to express a sincere and active interest in getting to know me, inviting me to sit at her kitchen table and tell her about myself. I particularly remember her attentive listening and her smile. I felt both honored and welcomed on this occasion when I couldn't be with my own family. She was a lovely person. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Beverly was like a second mother to me growing up on Caleb Street. I have such fond memories of the entire Doughty family and their loving and welcoming home. My heart is with you all as you get through this.
