In Loving Memory of
Portland-Fred Roland Cornish, died November 6, 2020, at the age of 81. He was born and raised in Portland ME, on June 11, 1939, a loving father, friend, grandfather, great grandfather, and a loving partner of many years to Beatrice Butts (Bea). Surviving direct family, daughter, Diana M Tinkham, grandchildren; David Cornish, Bryan Cornish, Alysha Tinkham, Tatiana Rodriguez,
great-grandchildren, Abigail Cornish, David Cornish Jr. Born from a family of 13, surviving siblings; Jeanette Grigsbee from Portland ME, Caroline Brown from Cape Elizabeth ME, Linda Patterson from Bar Mills ME, Donna Penney of Portland ME, as well as many nieces and nephews. The lovely Brown family of ME; Tim and Patricia Brown, Heidi and Dan Dobson, and family.
Fred Joyfully worked as a delivery driver for many years for the harbor fish market. His dearest hobby was fishing at his favorite spot at Sebago lake whenever he could.
He Greatly loved driving to Canada, New Hampshire, Vermont, and various sightseeing places. As well as the treasured moments he spent fishing in Allagash ME with his beloved nephews. Even through thick and thin he always found a joke to tell and someone to make laugh. He never lost the sparkle in his eye or the pep in his step, living every day to the fullest. Such as appreciating the community of 26 years as a resident at Washington Gardens Portland ME. In his younger years, he generously served the Army National Guard of Maine, later on, was honorably discharged for an injury in 1957.
The graveside service has been postponed till spring of 2021 due to Covid-19. We hope by deciding to do so, we are keeping everyone safe and healthy till we can be together to commemorate his life. To be announced in the spring by visiting Fred’s obituary at www.athutchins.com
