Richard “Darrick” Hunt passed away Friday morning April 2, 2021 of neurological complications. He lived in Casco, ME at Country Village Assisted Living. Darrick formerly resided in Portland ME, South Lake Tahoe, CA and Columbia, TN. He was born in Framingham, MA on June 24, 1955 and was a loving father of two.

Darrick was an amazing man, a pure and honest soul known for his compassionate spirit. He was kind, positive, patient, selfless and a great listener. He was all about having a good time, living in the moment and taking great pleasure out of the simple things in life. He loved classic rock, classic cars and New England sports. Those who have been lucky enough to know him will always miss his friendship and love.

He is survived by his son Brian Geoffrey Hunt, daughter in law Caity Kimball Hunt of Gray, ME and his daughter Bethany Lynn Tangeman and son in law Michael Tangeman of Seattle, WA along with his grandchildren Alexander and Sydney Tangeman. He also leaves his brother Marco Hunt and his wife Ann of Cornish ME, brother Ted Hunt of MA and numerous other cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth Hunt, brother Billy and sister Pam.

There will be no services at this time. The family wishes to thank the staff at Gosnell Hospice, Maine Medical Center Neurology, Country Village Assisted Living, NE Rehabilitation Center and Portland Center for Assisted Living for all of their contributions in Darrick’s life the last number of years.
